When you click on Wedigitize.dk, a number of information about you, your computer and your behavior is collected on the website. Below you can read in detail about the information we collect, how we process the information, what we use it for, who has access to the information and who you can contact about the information collected.
Wedigitize.dk undertakes to comply with the guidelines for the processing of cookies and personal data established by the Association of Danish Interactive Media at all times.
- Cookies
When you visit Wedigitize.dk or a subpage of Wedigitize.dk, you automatically receive one or more cookies. If you do not want this, you can see more in section 2.3 for instructions on how to – in whole or in part – avoid receiving cookies and delete the cookies that are on your hard drive.
2.1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that is stored in your web browser and recognized by the website on return visits and makes it possible to send individualized information to your browser. A cookie can contain text, numbers or e.g. a date, but no personal information is stored in a cookie. It is not a program and it cannot contain viruses.
2.2. For how long are cookies stored?
The lifespan of cookies may vary according to what the individual providers have set them for. Some cookies disappear as soon as you close the browser window, others may exist for several years. Many providers typically spend 12 or 24 months on their advertising, statistics, and content-related cookies. Note that the service life is extended after each visit, so it is e.g. 24 months from the last time you visited a website, cookies are stored on your computer. 2.3. How do I avoid cookies?

Avoid cookies in the future

2.4. What are cookies used for on Wedigitize.dk?
To determine who visits our websites, we use cookies to keep demographic and user-related statistics. In this way, we get the opportunity to customize and create content and services that match your and other users’ interests and wishes.
We also use cookies to deliver targeted online ads. The same applies in connection with questionnaire surveys, analyzes and the like. For all advertising formats, we record whether you click on the delivered ads.
2.5. Technical cookies
At Wedigitize.dk you can find different elements on the pages, which depend on cookies to work in the way you expect. In order for you to have an overview of what exactly is happening, we have made the following review:
2.5.1. Personalization
On several pages, we have chosen to make the content more relevant to you. In order for this information to be stored so that you do not have to make the changes again the next time you visit us, we set a cookie. The only thing this cookie does is remember your choices so you do not have to spend time doing it again. It’s about what type of software interests you and the like.
2.5.2. Security
When you have to make a payment via one of the online software stores that Wedigitize.dk links to, you may find that they use a cookie to keep track of it not taking too long from the time you start validation or payment for you to implement it. This is to prevent other people from accessing your debit card if you are sitting at a public computer.
2.5.3. Functionality
Sometimes it is necessary for us to set a cookie to ensure that the elements on the page work as you expect them to.
2.5.4. Third party cookies
Wedigitize.dk uses a number of 3rd party services on our sites. These services sometimes also use cookies. You can choose to reject 3rd party cookies in your browser, by editing in its settings.
These cookies are used partly by our advertising system to keep track of the fact that you do not see the same advertisement over and over again, and partly to try to show you advertisements that are relevant to the pages you have visited.
In addition, 3rd party cookies are used to make statistics on your visits to Wedigitize.dk, here we use the cookie to know which pages you visit and how long you are on them. Here we use systems from Google Analytics and our own statistics system.
Finally, our integration with Facebook and YouTube uses cookies to keep track of what bandwidth you have, and therefore how large video files you can play, and to keep track of whether you are logged in to the service.
Personally identifiable information is never provided to third parties, and we never collect personally identifiable information without you having provided us with this information, e.g. by registering.
2.3.2. Use of personal information
Personal information is used primarily to ensure that you sign up for our services, such as the newsletter and login to My Download.
2.3.3. Contact regarding personal data
If you want access to the information that is registered about you at Wedigitize.dk, you must contact us via the contact information at the bottom of the page. If incorrect data has been registered, or if you have other objections, you can contact the same place. You have the opportunity to gain insight into what information has been registered about you, and you can object to a registration in accordance with the rules in the Personal Data Act.
According to the Personal Data Act, your personal information must be stored securely and confidentially. We store your personal information on computers with restricted access, which are located in controlled facilities, and our security measures are continuously monitored to determine whether our user information is handled properly, while still respecting your rights as a user. However, we cannot guarantee 100 percent security for data transfers via the Internet. This means that there may be a risk that others will unjustifiably force access to information when data is sent and stored electronically. You thus provide your personal information at your own risk.
The rapid development of the Internet means that changes in our processing of personal data may become necessary. We therefore reserve the right to update and change these guidelines for the processing of personal data. If we do, we will of course correct the “last updated” date at the top of the page. In case of significant changes, we will notify you in the form of a message via our newsletter and Facebook group.
To the extent that personal data about you is processed, you have the right under the Personal Data Act to be informed which personal data can be attributed to you. If it turns out that the information or data processed about you is incorrect or misleading, you have the right to demand that it be corrected, deleted or blocked. You can at any time object to information about you being processed. You can also revoke your consent at any time. You have the opportunity to complain about the processing of information and data concerning you.
